True flavor from Osaka, Western Japan

EE NAMI Tonkatsu Izakaya combines two Japanese elements: โ€œtonkatsu,โ€ which means โ€œpork cutlet,โ€ and โ€œizakaya,โ€ which is a common restaurant style that serves tapas with alcoholic drinks.

Ee nami (pronounced "eh-nah-meโ€) means โ€œgood waveโ€ in Kansai-ben, the dialect of Japanese that is spoken by Osaka natives.

Family roots

The tonkatsu of EE NAMI mirrors the style of Tonkatsu Tsurukame, a renowned restaurant located in the suburbs of Osaka, Japan. Tonkatsu Tsurukame has been operated by the Tano family for over 30 years.
